Another vein, another support, the fabric.

These are sometimes fabrics that have already been used, such as the rag used by a carpenter to make apply varnish.

I liked working on the contrast between the raw, aged look of the fabric and the more sophisticated look of the satin ribbons. An elegant corset shows itself unexpectedly.

I also degrade fabric deliberately, in baths of tea, coffee, earth and ink… I sometimes use shoe polish. It is then a question of following and underlining, by embroidery and stitches, the meanders of the spots that appear.

These are ‘Paysages’ (Landscapes),Lucienne’.

Les chaises longues (the sun loungers) are in decanted linen. I made large baths of yellow dye. I took fabric, yarn, boiled wool, raffia, humming tape and mixed them all together . No synthetic material, which does not take colour.

I used the same yellow treatment for both ceremonial dresses.
